During the session, attendees were introduced to the RURAL’COM project and its primary objectives. The training centered around the exploration of the project’s handbook, with a focus on key sections, including:
- The principles of Rural Resilience and its connection to sustainability.
- Strategies for developing sustainable communities in rural settings.
- Approaches for integrating resilience and sustainability into educational frameworks.
- Best practice examples drawn from Romania, Belgium, and Ireland.
Following the theoretical discussions, participants engaged in hands-on activities from the handbook. They worked both independently and in pairs, applying key concepts to practical exercises designed to enhance their understanding and implementation of sustainability principles.
